I think The Rock is likely a high point for Bay, but Ambulance is definitely worth checking out if you come across it.

Rewatching ‘The Rock’, I can see their point: while I’ve always been impressed by the way the car chase is shot and cut, he also did a brilliant job of shooting scenes with Ed Harris that weren’t action scenes and that show he wasn’t just a great second unit director. Unfortunately, nothing of his that I’ve seen since has impressed me remotely as much.
